DigeZyme® - The ready-to use multi enzyme complex

Digezyme® is a formulation developed by Sabinsa comprising 5 enzymatic activities, from strains of aspergillus, bacillus and trichoderma: alpha amylase, lactase, protease, lipase and cellulase. The Digezyme has proven itself: it is well known and sold regularly - often under the name Digezyme indicated in the composition. Its formulation designates it for any use induced by the digestion, to the optimization of the catch of the nutrients or the problems related to the digestion (regurgitation, sleep, skin, etc,)..The recommended dose is usually 50 to 100mg per capsule, and 1 to 2 capsules before meals. For athletes, the dose is 100mg to 200mg per dose mixed in the protein complex, for example. Digezyme is often combined with Bioperine or even capsaicin (our Capsallyl product) for athletes. The highest dose currently used on the market is 3x500mg per day (this is a product for intolerant people in this case). Its use is not a problem in production or mixing units (see MSDS), especially since enzymes need time, a certain pH, and water to function..EFSA has indicated a list of microorganisms and then its positive opinion for lactase activity, which allows use of Digezyme while referring to this opinion for the digestive aid part..Many studies have been published with this complex that has proven itself. The latest study demonstrated its potential for faster recovery of delayed muscle pain (DOMS)..Sabinsa also developed DigeZyme® EC, with an higher lactase activity :
  • DigeZyme® : 24 000 DU (alpha amylase) / 6 000 PC (neutral protease) / 4 000 ALU (lactase) / 200 FIP (lipase) / 1 100 CU (cellulase)
  • DigeZyme® EC: 24 000 DU (alpha amylase) / 6 000 PC (neutral protease) / 30 000 ALU (lactase) / 200 FIP (lipase) / 1 100 CU (cellulase)

Enzymes - Nutritional enzymes

Digestive enzymes are necessary to break down molecules into even smaller molecules that can be easily absorbed. We usually consider three main types of digestive enzymes :
Proteases: Break down protein into small peptides and amino acids
Lipases: Break down fat into three fatty acids plus a glycerol molecule
Amylases: Amylase to break down carbs like starch into simple sugars (alpha or beta) , but aso Lactase, Cellulase, etc...
